“Desperado“
Saw Joe Walsh do that one at Jones Beach. During a band break. Stage lights off, stage black we suddenly hear as soft “hee hee hee come over the PA and Walsh is at the piano going into the opening notes of Desperado. He did it justice.
“So you want a jukebox on stage“
So a jukebox playing songs that are a touchstone to your life or a jukebox playing some crap you never heard before.
Well, you’re missing out.
That’s what happens when you’re a nostalgia act. You’re on a Greatest Hits tour, nobody wants to hear “Slang”.
I had never heard any of those songs until I clicked on those links a few minutes ago.
I'm a few weeks older than you, and I have also recently discovered Spotify, which makes a lot of alternative music available. Using the program Audacity, I record music for my own use from Spotify, Youtube, and other online resources.
If he was singing songs like "Garden Party" and avoiding his hits like "It's Late" and "Poor Little Fool," I would have been one of the boobirds.
Yep, 80s & 90s were spent in a coma — maintaining the house, raising the family.
LOL...nope, never heard any of those. Not in a commercial, on YouTube, on Spotify or anywhere.
I was never a fan of that metal banging / screaming / jumping around genre. I bought the first “Black Sabbath” album in 1970 when it came out. It might have gotten played once and then shelved forever. Or given away.
Ugh! The Bon Jovi of the UK. Terrible 80s pop-rock.
