I know they have sprayed noxious crap on the BLM forests around here. Some US timberland is owned by a Canadanian company, can’t remember name, and is allowed by the BLM to use very bad herbicides (maybe pesticides too, can’t remember) that are only allowed to be used by the Canadian owned US timberland. It’s a total flustercluck.
