Medvedev Reminds Trump about Dangers of Walking Dead

Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev issued a pointed warning to US President Donald Trump, urging him not to ignore the peril posed by those he labels "dead."

Medvedevs comments come in response to Trumps recent remarks about the Russian economy, as well as his criticisms of Medvedev himself, which he shared via his Telegram channel, TASS reported.

"Regarding the so-called dead economy of India and Russia and the warning about entering dangerous territory - perhaps he should recall his favorite films about the walking dead and think about how dangerous a dead hand can be, even one that doesnt exist in nature," Medvedev wrote, adding a laughing emoji.

The term "dead hand" harks back to Cold War-era nomenclature in the West, where it referred to the Soviet nuclear deterrent system known as Perimeter. This system was reportedly designed to ensure a guaranteed retaliatory strike in the event of an attack on the USSR.

Medvedev’s response misses the point—by invoking “Dead Hand,” he ignores the logic of MAD: any nuclear retaliation guarantees mutual destruction. Instead of sounding strong, he sounds unhinged—like he’s threatening a suicide pact to defend a weak economy and avoid negotiating an end to the war in Ukraine.

There are some who won’t be happy until the world is a smoking, radioactive hellscape.. Ruling elites believe they can get to their waiting aircraft and fly to their bolt holes in patagonia or new zealand and ride it out. Ironic that in ‘50’s when there were very few nukes our govt had massive civil defense with shelters. Now with thousands of nukes the US govt response to protection of civil population is ....nothing?
