“Besides critiquing Trump which is fair, what is your solution?”

Nice to hear someone interested, instead of the grade school yappers that I’ve had to deal with all morning.

1) STOP listening to the Neocons, particularly Graham, Kellog, and the Europeans. All they say is that the war is nothing more than a typical Russian land grab and just keep fighting...and losing.
2) START listening to Tulsi, who knows far more about the war and its history, and that the war involves far more than just Ukraine.
3) UNDERSTAND that something on the order of 150,000 to 200,000 Russians have been killed so far - Putin, or anyone else in power, is not going to simply freeze the war, just to have it restart when the next Democrat gets into power and starts trying to take back the land. Biden lost that land, for good, and we’ll have to come to accept that fact.
4) UNDERSTAND that Europe has PROMISED, multiple times, that they will send troops into Ukraine should a freeze take place. Russia would have to be INSANE to agree to a freeze with that hanging over their heads.
5) Try to view the NATO expansion as seen by the Russians, it’s not hard considering that we have Central America and Mexico where we’d be just as concerned regarding the Chinese setting up bases and biolabs.

At that point, negotiations could begin. Both sides have cards to play, but Russia is not going to be like the Europeans were this week and simply give away the store to the US.

I appreciate your comments, largely disagree at least about why this war happened. You have made your points clear, here are mine.

This war has nothing to do with Ukranian Nazis, or protecting Russian speakers (largely Russian speakers are in Ukraine because they displaced Ukrainians during Soviet Union days or were forced to learn Russian over Ukrainian, nor is it about NATO expansion or Russian security.

NATO has been on Russia’s border for decades, no war, no invasion, quite the opposite the west including EU had invested heavily in Russia, and had become energy dependent on Russia. Meanwhile letting their militaries degrade. Not exactly the position of nations looking to invade.

Putin likes to talk about Russia being invaded, all the while not talking of all the invading of neighbors it has done, Finland (winter war), Poland (allied with nazi germany), Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Hungary, Georgia, Chechnya as well as China(would be worried about XI and his “historical claims”)and of course Ukraine

My position is and has been, this is all about Putin’s often discussed lament of the fall of the Soviet Union and the resulting loss of power and prestige

As to not being able to settle because of losses, and I agree. If he does he is gone, that makes it an existential threat to him, not Russia.

The losses are on his head
