As the right-wing populist AfD surges in the polls, parts of the Left appear to be going off the rocker.
Jette Nietzard
As we already reported, Jette Nietzard, national spokesperson of the Green Youth Party, has hinted at the possibility of armed resistance if Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) manages to enter government after the 2029 federal elections. Her statements, made in a podcast by the public broadcaster RBB and repeated in an interview with the weekly Freitag, have sparked outrage due to their political and social implications.
“Will that resistance be intellectual or perhaps armed?” Nietzard asked during the ‘Freitag Salon’event recorded on July 21 at the Renaissance Theater in Berlin. Along the same lines, she stated: “Would we have to take up arms?”, clarifying that she is willing to consider violent means to stop a legal, democratic party that continues to rise in all polls.
Asked whether she was referring to resisting “against the will of the voters,” Nietzard did not hesitate: “Against fascism.” With this ambiguous formula, the Green leader seems to justify violence if the electoral results do not align with her ideological convictions. In Nietzard’s view, the Left must ask whether it is willing to “sit in a place where defending a parliament at the end matters.”
Her words dangerously recall the decades of political terrorism in Germany, such as the case of the Red Army Faction, but this time from within structures close to power and protected by the system. It is no longer about canceling, defaming, or censoring AfD: it is now openly about confronting them by force if they win.
This is not the first time Nietzard has been involved in controversy. Just two months ago, she caused an uproar on social media by posing in a sweater with the acronym

> Germany being Germany - commies fighting fascists. <
But in this case, the commies are the fascists.
Same as in our country.
She looks like she is on the tail end of a “youth” party. What happens when she ages out? Will it be like the cubs in Logan’s Run?
They have been around about thirty years. They have some cross-pollination with anti-fa.
Alliance 90/The Greens, often simply referred to as Greens, is a green political party in Germany. It was formed in 1993 by the merger of the Greens and Alliance 90. The Greens had itself merged with the East German Green Party after German reunification in 1990.
Germany is in Weimar2. Remember the Street fighting between German nationalists and socialists in the late 20s, early 30s? Then they became the national socialist workers party.
“Here we come, Marching down the street
Saying Sieg Heil, To everyone we meet!
Hey hey

Too bad the majority of Euro men surrendered their balls before they were even old enough to use them.
She kind of looks like a dude
Doesn’t matter - a good fight to control other people is all that is required. The color of the banner and hair dye is all that seems to be a concern.
Calling General Greta LOL;-)
He doesn’t look very imposing.
The Greens have always been fascist in nature. This would not be a surprise for them.
Her girlfriend is probably a 7 foot wrestler monster.
It may require a civil war to get to Islamization of Germany halted.
That is what I think too.
This is what they get for not exterminating the Stasi.
True. There are more similarities between our countries/ continents than differences.
I just believe in standing up to our common enemies. Together.
May we, one day in a happy future, be able to amend your tagline with the words: „And in Israel and in Europe, too.“
So help us God🙏🏻
Sir, I appreciate your friendly attitude towards my hapless country very much. Still, I am not sure whether the Greens received much support from the East German government. The Greens are not orthodox Communists, but more decadent neo-Communists, thus they were mostly a West German phenomenon.
Still, I think many Stasi people got off too lightly- just as many Nazis did. The difference was that in 1945, about 25% of working-age German men were dead, and millions more were in captivity, so the Occupying Forces had to make do with the people who were still there.
In 1990, it would have been good to send at least the worst of the Stasis to the Big House for an extended time…😡
I was thinking that Merkle and her ilk should have been frogmarched into a forest and had bullets put in their heads but Germany is so paralyzed by its history that they weren’t willing to save themselves.
You are correct, I‘m afraid, Sir.
But, please, consider the circumstances. In those days, nobody could have foreseen that she would become such a destructive force.
It’s the same thing in history, again and again: the crystal ball, to see the future in, has unfortunately never been invented. Just imagine how much sorrow and pain throughout history could have been avoided🙁
