The much louder voice you hear that overwhelms everyone else appears to be from the purple shirt guy.

The softer voice, I think is Derrick Perry, the guy with the gun.

I haven't seen much comment on this anywhere. There was on FR person who did mention the dark patch on gille's forehead was something that formed from a person putting their forehead on prayer mats after a long time.

There was prior speculation that this person was muslim, but it never seems to have been confirmed anywhere.

Pointing this out, as there still hasn't been any motive provided by leo or anyone else why the stabbings occurred.

Whether that is his ‘faith’, who knows?
But as far as ethnicity, yes, he looks as most 40 y/o men do from Middle Eastern or Arabic countries. At this point, it really does not matter. Maybe the cameras will ‘malfunction’ in his holding cell. That seems to be happening a lot here lately.
