Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said in a post on X on Monday that U.S. President Donald Trump was playing "the ultimatum game" with Russia, and that such an approach could lead to a war involving the United States.
Medvedev wrote: "Each new ultimatum is a threat and a step towards war. Not between Russia and Ukraine, but with (Trump's) own country."
Trump said on Monday that he was disappointed in Russian President Vladimir Putin's failure to end the war in Ukraine, and that he was reducing a deadline to agree a peace settlement from 50 days to 10 or 12.

I think Putin and Medvedev are playing good cop, bad cop with Trump as a negotiating tactic—a form of calibrated message management. Medvedev raises the stakes with alarmist rhetoric so Putin can appear pragmatic and reasonable by contrast.
The sanctions are nothing. Giving Ukraine permission to strike targets deep withing Russia is a big deal. How long do you think Russia is just going to sit back and take this? The US intentionally provoked this proxy war and now is provoking Russia to hit a NATO country like Poland. Military analysts are saying the US only has enough missiles for approximately 8 days if we were go to war with Russia and after 8 days then we move up to tactical nukes. I don’t understand why so many on here are clamoring for WW3 it’s insane.
You should be on President Trump’s side instead of Russia’s.
If Trump continues on this road to war with Russia half of MAGA won’t be on his side.
Why are you taking Russia’s side?
So, is that the next step? Russia attacks Poland and claims that somebody else made them do it?
Russia attacks Poland and claims that somebody else made them do it?
The Poles will attack a radio station in Kaliningrad.
Why are you a neocon idiot? Were you dropped on your head as a baby? Are you John Bolton in disguise?
What a joke. They can’t even beat the Ukes. The Russians have learned from recent history that playing the WW3 card triggers weak-kneed/minded Americans like nothing else. But that card has been overplayed. Fewer are buying.
Medvedev is their official saber-rattler.
“...what other weapons systems do the Russians have that can touch the US?”
Really nothing. What else do they need to destroy the world?

Lol! What Aeroflot doink?
Let’s see we have the US providing arms to Ukraine, providing targeting to Ukraine, and now giving them permission to go ahead and hit targets deep inside Russia. The smoke screen of this being only limited to a proxy war is slowly disappearing. Ukraine has previously attacked Russia’s strategic military aircraft and bases:
” Ukraine has conducted significant drone attacks on Russia’s strategic military aircraft, notably targeting airfields and damaging or destroying a substantial number of bombers, including the Tu-95 and Tu-22M3. These operations have demonstrated Ukraine’s capability to strike deep into Russian territory and have had a considerable impact on Russia’s military assets.”
At what point will Russia finally say enough? Are they going to just sit back and take this for much longer? I don’t think so and neither do the neocons who want this war with Russia and this is how they intend to walk us into it.
I don’t think Trump gives an ultimatum unless he is willing to follow through. This date change quickly followed the EU tariff agreement. I assume the original deadline was so that we were not managing a tariff war with both the EU and those buying Russia oil at the same time. Now that the EU deal is done, it makes sense to accelerate the ultimatum.
Ultimately, all wars are about economics. Trump’s tariffs are an extension of war. There is a level beyond which it is too expensive for Putin to continue. Finding that point is going to be a process.
Russia threatens war...again.

Not really. Medvedev is a former President - he got along with Barry REALLY well.
Trade negotiations with China are taking place for the next three days. The 100% tariffs on China’s exports for supporting Russia is a major part of the discussions. That’s why the deadline was moved up to put pressure on China.
In the General/Chat forum, on a thread titled Russia's Medvedev says Trump's 'ultimatum' could lead to war, Engraved-on-His-hands wrote: The US intentionally provoked this proxy war and now is provoking Russia to hit a NATO country like Poland. No, that's a Ukrainian strategy. Recall that the Ukraine fired a missile into Poland and blamed Russia?

Wiki and the MSM all tried to help Ukraine sell the lie, but even Biden had to admit that the missile came from Ukraine. Zelensky kept insisting it was from Russia, even after Biden and other outlets exposed the truth.
LOL given the performance of Russian arms in the ME and the performance of the Russian Army in Ukraine.
