Is Laughlin a good alternative to Vegas as far as expenses?
Laughlin is dead. It has been for some time. Barren desert. Empty casinos.
Laughlin is a small town where you can walk down the streets at night safely...so far.
The casinos are run by the same corporations that run them in Vegas except, you can still get 50 dollar a night rooms when there is no special events going on.
The casino staff are hit and miss depending on time and day.
The Riverside and a couple others are kind of good places. Don Lauglin died a year or so ago and now i understand his kids run the place.
Laughlin is directly on the River.
Laughlin has actually become very lively in the past year on weekends.
Sad part...the Colorado Bell sits idle and closed. One of thee best places sits there closed. Why it isnt taken over by someone we dont know.
Yes very much so
Laughlin used to depend on Phoenix customers..it was closer than Vegas. Now there are over a dozen Tribal-run casinos in or within short driving distance of the Phoenix area-some as upscale as Vegas. And you don’t have to deal with the traffic on “Bloody 93”.
Phoenix is 3 and a half hours from here...if your lucky.
Vegas is just over an hour. And the road down through Searchlight is way safer than that hole down in the valley of the sun.
Yes and good views at the river and boats too.
