Punishing countries like India for not making economic sacrifices on behalf of Ukraine is absurd. Why should India have to buy more expensive oil or be slapped with higher tariffs because they, while disliking Putin’s war, recognize that it really isn’t any of their concern?

Because we do not want to fund Putin's war machine through oil.

And again.

This is not a choice. China and India buy Russian oil or they starve. There is no in between.

The trucks stop bringing food to grocery stores if they have no fuel.

In other words, India, Brazil, and basically all countries in the world that want to remain neutral are obligated to make sacrifices for the sake of Ukraine. Why, exactly?

Did Ukraine at any point send money, arms, or soldiers to help India fight Islamists in Kashmir, or to defend itself against Pakistan? Did Ukraine cut off trade and diplomatic relations with Pakistan out of solidarity with India? Since they didn't, why should India care about Ukraine's problems?
