That is hard to imagine, given that Russia seems to have proven itself to be a paper tiger. They cannot take even one minor capital city on their own border, in 3 YEARS of trying. MAYBE they could take Poland, if it was 1-on-1, and Belarus gave them free passage... but they'd never get to Berlin.
That being said... cornering a large industrial nation, and adding long-term and overly-punitive consequences, did not end well for the world the last time it was tried, in the Treaty of Versailles. Tread carefully.
This is a battle between NATO and Russia. They want to own arable land, not wasted prairies. They fight to keep NATO off of their borders, and WE were the aggressors. Would it surprise anyone that in Ukraine we have lost Americans?
The paper tiger is the US, we still have no control over Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Libya or Sudan. We spend our money, so Israel can build a bigger border it seems.
