Yes, how much more can they gerrymander, in California?
Cursory review of the internet, shows that Democrats got a bit over 60% of the overall vote for members of Congress in California in 2024.
So based on that percentage, of 52 House seats in California, Democrats should have about 31 or 32 . Yet they have 43.
It looks like California is already heavily gerrymandered.
But Gavin Newsom is unsatisfied with his party being so heavily overrepresented. Go figure.
Ready for what, Newscum? Just declare CA a full blown commie state, already. No opposition, period.
Cali-fornia doesn’t need redistricting; they have jungle primaries and legalized ballot harvesting. That’s how they lock out Republicans in that damn state. Any two-some Newsom.
Donald got them to come out from under their rocks and shout what they truly believed.

At issue are the districts created to guarantee that a black Democrat wins ("majority minority" districts). Some claim the civil rights laws dictate this. Others that it violates the 14th amendment. These districts have crazy boundaries. The Supreme Court has yet to give a clear answer but may be forced to before long.
The Republicans might add some seats in Texas if they redistrict but they may cause other seats to become competitive.
