Re post 35, there were some good warnings at the FR link there about how to use it if done topically... have to wash your hands and the area where it is applied thoroughly. DMSO is absorbed deeply and will drag in other things with it. If you had pesticide on your knees and you apply DMSO on, you’ll end up with the pesticide in your body. When I talked to my ‘vitamin and supplement store’ friends, that was the first thing they said. I’m looking at a New Roots bottle of DMSO right now as I write this and while there is a note on the side about ‘Make sure the affected area is thoroughly cleansed....”, the instruction doesn’t go near far enough.
Yes....that is the number one precaution with DMSO....to insure the area to be applied is completely cleaned.
We sometime clean the area (depending on area :) with 3ppm CDS (chlorine dioxide solution), allow to thoroughly dry, then, apply DMSO with CLEAN hands, or, 100% cotton swab or ball.
Typically, 70% dilution from waist, down. 30-40% dilution, above waist. Again...depending on purpose/cause for treatment.
Do NOT apply with or on fingertips with nail polish on ... this will be carried internally, and, you don’t want that.
