So - outside of a black hole, the water won’t swirl when I flush the toilet?
A total of 105 of the galaxies (40 percent) rotated in the counterclockwise direction, while 158 (60 percent) rotated in the clockwise direction.

I don’t understand what their hangup is about the varied rotation of galaxies.
If a galaxy started out spinning clockwise from our vantage point, but also slowly flipped over it’s orientation of poles so that an assigned north become an assigned south, then it would then appear to be rotating the counter clockwise.
