Your point is…? Isn’t that like saying most chest pain is due to hiatal hernias? That’s true, too, so I guess we should all ignore chest pain…?
I checked the incidence of colon CA among patients presenting with blood in the stool. It’s 2-10%. I’m just reporting facts.
It’s up to you to go to the doctor and get checked out. I said it WAS a red flag, but it’s not a cancer diagnosis.
BTW, Only about 5–15% of patients who come to the ER with chest pain are actually diagnosed with a heart attack.
Of course chest pain can be due to other serious conditions such as lung CA, aortic dissection, dysrhythmias at lower incidences.
Now are you’re going to say that I recommend that people ignore chest pain?
