Amazon is buying AI bracelet maker Bee in a major move to dominate the next wave of personal tech.
The wristbands — which cost $50 — record everything you say, even when you're talking to yourself, and sync with your phone via Bluetooth.
Powered by AI models from Anthropic, Google and Meta, Bee turns your day into a searchable database, creating personalized to-do lists and even tracking how many times you swear.

Guess it was never ‘big brother’ but an AI version of ‘Big Sister Alexa’...
NO THANK YOU…..
Creepy!
“Wow a voluntary ankle monitor for Non Criminals Orwell was so on the money”
Yes, but it is all so “convenient”... :(
Folks just have no clue what they are actually embracing. They are embracing their own digital enslavement. It is right now the greatest threat to mankind bar none.
“Next they’ll be trying to tap into our brains to record our every thought.”
Yep, Musk and others are working on that right now...
Digital Zombies...
Wow, I bet prosecutors love people, from traffic violators to hard criminals stupid enough to wear these....Okay now that we have heard your sworn testimony lets see how that jibes with your wristbands testimony. Absolutely agree, OH HELL NO!
Every sensible company and government employer ought to immediately ban these from the workplace as violations of law and policy protecting FTI, PII, PHI, company IP and plain privacy of others’ speech.
They won’t… until the first big incident.
Where are the tubes?
“Every sensible company and government employer ought to immediately ban these from the workplace as violations of law and policy protecting FTI, PII, PHI, company IP and plain privacy of others’ speech.”
Absolutely. But phones have already been doing it for a long time. They are stupid to not control phones tighter.
“Where are the tubes?”
Can you imagine? It would take a semi load of tubes to do what this watch will do...
“We heard you talk about speeding the other day, we confirmed it with data from your phone, car, and area cameras so today we are shutting off your car and you have to take the bus.”
THIS is what it is coming to...
Right you are…
1999 NSA ban on Furby toys.
“1999 NSA ban on Furby toys.”
I remember that. And if you think about it, they would not have done that unless they knew the technology was absolutely possible... Now just imagine they have had a quarter of a century to refine this tech...
Uh, short answer.....nope!
How long until it’s mandatory?
“How long until it’s mandatory?”
And that is exactly the problem right there. It will be... You will not be able to enter businesses, drive your vehicle, or even unlock your front door to your home without it.
For your own security and safety of course...
I would like to add something else to the concept of this becoming mandatory. First thing folks think is that the government will make it mandatory and claim they will not comply. This is a false perspective. The government will not have to, businesses and services will do it for them. Just like many businesses are mandating smart phone apps and email addresses to do any business with them. And web services are forcing two factor authentication to access your accounts which requires a phone and text. And vehicle chipped key fobs to unlock and drive your vehicle. The commercial sector will mandate it and then sell the data and control access to the government.
Selfies for the idiots weren’t enough. Now they have to record all the bright crap they say throughout the day. Geez. It’s an “I LOVE ME!” world.
