The grand 19th-century limestone residence is at 57 E. 74th St., between Park and Madison avenues. It’s one of seven on the historic block designed by noted architects Buchman and Deisler.

Yes, I would use all those modern sideboards for kindling and throw the chairs with tubular arms and legs in the dumpster.
Tiger oak is my thing. I’ve spent a lifetime at antique stores and auctions to accumulate enough to furnish much of my house. I had to stop because I have no room left. Unfortunately, I’ve read that the younger generation has no interest in antiques. When I’m gone, I guarantee my children will put all my furniture up for sale.
