My response is based off of truth and news reports. I was also a bit tongue in cheek. I had an office right next door to the Alamo in the early 90s and it would take me less than 200 steps to get to the wall of the Alamo.


I guess there are no more Texas Revolution artifacts to purchase and $125k was burning a hole in the Alamo administrators pockets.

The Crockett family once had Santa Anna’s jacket (or pants?). The grooms would wear it at weddings. If the DAR had that much pocket change, the least they could have done was repair Mrs. Crockett’s hand on her statue in the Acton Cemetery where she has the smallest Texas state park surrounding her grave. Seems back around the 19-teens, some boys were shooting at a bird resting on the hand and oops. Don’t ask me how I know. The current repair is horrendous and shameful.

And the gun I posted earlier should be in the museum.
