I probably should check to see if anyone’s done this already.

OTOH, it was still fun.

And why did God create billions of fools?

Someone added the antenna, but I'm not sure it's gonna work...

It’s not a law of nature. It’s more like a way to think about the problem. But it looks like a law of nature, which misleads people.

We don’t even know how many stars have planets

However, indications are that all stars have at least one planet, with the largest planets closest to the star, unlike our star which is a galactic anomaly.

It seems unlikely that we could pick up a signal from any great distance even within our own galaxy.

Had John Clerk Maxwell [ 1831-1879 ] been paid more attention to at the time, we would have radio only as a curiosity at best, because he postulated better ways to communicate.

So its unlikely other civilizations even use radio, which means there is no signal to pick up.

“The limits of our consciousness being what they are, it stands to reason that the explanations for the big questions lie well beyond the reach of our five senses, and thus outside the constructs of time and space which our five senses project.

It almost seems silly for us to expect an answer - that’s how little we know.”

Well said. We have no sense of our limitations. We think we are the apex of existence. But I often think that in the great scheme of things we may be no more than what an amoeba is to us.

Because of its physical, sensual, conscious and intellectual limitations an amoeba has no idea of our human existence. The world we see and experience is totally unfathomable to an amoebe. All the “objects” that we perceive through our senses and consciousness, trees, rocks, mountains, people etc, etc, don’t exist to an amoeba.

So that raises the question. What if we are like an amoeba that exist in a much more complex world with beings and objects that our senses and consciousness and intellect are unable to grasp? A world where they’re aware of us and can impact us, like we can an amoeba, but we are totally oblivious of their existence, like an amoeba is oblivious of ours.

the rare earth hypothesis

Your comment portrays the consensus theory, not the scientific facts.

This solar system is an outlier, an anomaly - all other systems found have the large planets close to the sun. Earth-sized planets are their moons. See: The Saturn Myth/The Electric Universe.

The Earth’s Moon according to some tests of Lunar rocks is about a billion years older then the solar system. There is no proven origin for the moon, nor explanation for its size and composition.

"Put simply, “Science “ has been corrupted by Satan…..the “smarter “ we think we are, the dumber we become."

Back in the 80's I wrote an AI program thar ran on a 360k IBM PC more sophistcated than any program running toaday. I used that program to make sophisticated currency trades for my investors. Unfortunately my program sucked and I lost over $700,000,000 and got eleven years in prison. But, now, you can get daily reports from that same program for only $150 a month!

“I’m puzzled that people don’t understand that ETs are already here.”

Yes. The fact that we can’t detect them is proof of their superior technology.

Really! That is so obvious, isn't it?

A superior civilization might not use radio communications

Very very doubtful that a ham radio could pick up signals from great distances. The Inverse Square Law really takes a toll over thousands of light years.

Indeed. I’ve read that our signals would be too faint to detect after only 100 ly.

If I was running an interstellar civilization, I’d communicate with probes at each star’s gravitational lens focus. Yes, one could use lasers, but even those spread out and lose power density at long enough distances.

But are “they” from outer space?

We don’t even know if our plane of existence is singular.

Is there a spiritual world or realm? Other dimensions? What is intelligence, and isn’t it weird that life itself, let alone intelligent life, forms or exists at all? If it’s all just chemicals and physics?

An single accidental photon is not a great method of communications.

The Fermi Paradox always forgets one thing:
Space is big
No really big
Much bigger than that

Creating “information” that goes that far, much less detecting, is very difficult, and very slow.

The fact is that we would only be detectable by less than 1% of the Milky Way galaxy and forget outside our galaxy, that’s just not happening. Basically about 150 light years away. Because the first things we did that could possibly maybe with a lot of luck be detectable elsewhere was start playing with radio and artificially lighting our cities. Until then we were completely invisible. And even within that circle the detector would have to have very sensitive antenna of the right size, or very very good telescopes. We could only detect ourself to about 75 light years maybe. Basically we’re looking at a thimble full of sand and trying to figure out the entire planet.

And of course you have to keep in mind what anybody is detecting is from the past. If you’ve got a good enough telescope at that 150 LY line you could see the first lighting of London, but you’d know nothing about what’s happened since.

So the answer to “where is everybody” is “maybe in the 99.999999 percent of the universe we really don’t know anything about”.

“”We have. When they appear we label them Angels and Devils. Not only in the Judeo tradition, but in many cultures of the past there have been tales of “non-human” intelligent life forms.

It is our own pride that prevents honest discussion.””

Maybe a bit of fear, as well? Angels and devils/demons are actually more real in concept than are ‘alien’ ETs, I would think. We have lived with that concept from the beginning of life on planet earth via Biblical accounts. And any entity of superior intelligence that can come and go that easily would naturally be seen as scary and powerful.

The question remains... what method do they use for ‘transport’. Is it a “”beam me up, Scotty” system? How else would they be able to appear as “spirits” before appearance and corporeal during an appearance? Do they use actual space ships that utilize actual wormholes? Or are all those just human ideas that our limited intelligence has managed to think up? All questions that we will probably never know for sure as long as we’re alive. Maybe not even after we die.
