I thought hunters wear orange so that other hunters don’t confuse them with prey....unless hunting tigers.

Exactly, it's saved a lot of hunters and hikers I suspect.

That said, why would the orange colors be arranged in a camou pattern along with typical camou colors (green, grey etc)?
