We had a similar event happen at a local pizza place that he eat in dining.
I could see out of the corner of my eye, the older couple look at the kids (2,4,and 6) and each other and kind of look defeated, like they knew their meal was ruined.
When they left, they complimented us on the kid’s behavior. I also made sure the kids knew it as well.
had a friend from college from a large family and he always remembered the first restaurant meal. Beforehand his dad told them they will behave and eat and drink everything put in front of them. After the 3rd water glass refill by the waitress he turned to his dad and said, “Dad I can’t drink anymore.”
I had a similar encounter at a Dennys. My wife and I beamed when the older couple complimented the kids’ behavior. My 4 know they can act up a little at home. But out in public? No way.
I have great kids. 3 adults, one 9 year old. Still on my first wife, too! LOL
