You have a good point there.
“*-This is speculation…judging from the picture the kid may have autism. In which case this likely becomes a no-win ADA-like situation. To be sure, dad still needs to do his job, but having worked with autists as an Asst. Scoutmaster, I can assure you this is a VERY tough situation.”
Do not do that! The old “he has autism” or “he has adhd” excuse. I don’t care what he has he can behave or be thrown off the plane just like everyone else. Parents these days use autism as an excuse not to discipline their children. When he is 18 and has this “autism” and acts like a jackass the police will take him down as his dumb ass parents cry “he has autism!” so he better learn now to behave.
Anymore when I hear the word “autism” I think of a mannerless brat who just needs taken to the wood shed for a butt whooping.
“I never engage directly with misbehaving people. Getting out and getting a ticket to another show is the best and only way out. It is inconvenient. But people are going to be idiots”
I knew when I did it I should not have but I took a lead from my older brother. Back in the 1980’s when we were young, he was like that in a movie theater. If a baby started crying during the movie he would yell “SHUT THAT KID UP!” He would speak up while everyone else was fuming about the baby crying.
“One thing theaters and other places Can do is sell a particular showing where they give you a free soda or so and enforce a de
Dress code. “
Spirit air lines is working on this. Black women are complaining they can’t wear their booty shorts on board. Yes you are correct, better dress would improve the situation.
“No one under 13 allowed something like that”
If the movie is PG-13 they should ban kids under 13. I know kids can’t come in if it’s NC-17
Restaurants and a lot of other places are banning children because of bad behavior.
Honestly? The child was so young she should only be seeing movies rated G. If her dad is that much of an idiot now I shudder to think what poor decisions he will make in her future.
I agree that it’s way too often used as an excuse.
Same with ADD and ADHD, when what the kid needs is a good swat on the butt a few times and someone, preferably DAD to set an example of how to behave and the enforce compliance.
I’m going to reiterate
This is business class. It is a completely different situation from coach
JFK to Paris is $4500 this week. Coach is $1200
For $3,000 one is paying for quiet. The airline is to assure that
Ya. Growing up we all talked to each other. My father would speak up. New York in the ‘70s. Shut that kid up would absolutely be the way to go. Also ushers would go through the aisles with a flashlight and enforce
It’s not like that now
But I do enjoy hearing Trump point out when people are misbehaving

You ain’t kidding! Speaking of ushers I remember that too. In fact when I left the theater I was looking for them but there were none and I was wondering where they were. I had to go to the concession stand and get someone.
Come to think of it I’ve not seen an usher since the late 1990’s

Wow. This from someone allegedly against abortion.
But for leashes. https://freerepublic.com/focus/chat/4328760/posts?page=12#12

Bye.
Maybe they don’t have a legal obligation but I would like to know what they’re charging $3,000 for. Leg room?
Here are 8 alleged reasons why business class is more expensive. https://blog.businesstravel365.com/post/why-is-business-class-so-expensive

YES I’m against killing them.
However if you are going to be a parent you must actually parent them! Being a parent is a 24 hour/7 days a week job with get this..NO VACATIONS or no slacking off on the job EVER.
It also means going to extreme measures to protect your child from danger. Had that child been on a leash she would be alive today.
As for the yogi crowd we all know how their kids are raised, in a barn. Bad parenting at it’s finest.
It also does not end when the child turns 18 because you are still a parent and you will always worry about your child until you are old and dead.
No, it is not. I know well the difference.
I just think the airline has a responsibility when a customer pays $4500 for business class for a 6 hr ride, over $1200 for coach, for making it a non horrible flight due to the behavior of others wo belong in coach.
The kid should be taken from the parent and put in a zoo and the parents exiled to some 3rd world sh**hole.
People tend to take a story like this and turn it into a hate thing. But the parents are going to do what they want. It is up to others to avoid it. One way to avoid bad behavior in others is to purchase the heck out of an airline ticket. The airline is the responsibile party here.

I gave that some thought and you know what? The airline is afraid of a small child. Really. They are afraid to tell a small child to “cut the act or you will be thrown off this plane”.
They will do it to anyone else but a small child.
The customer paying the company $3000 extra for an 8 hr service should say it’s ok that the company didn’t provide the service nor refund the customer because the company is afraid of the offender?

Why do you believe parents have a right to allow their child to annoy anyone around them?
Why do you believe parents do not have an obligation to control their annoying child?
If they pay for a seat for their kid their kid gets to sit there. Just like coach.
The last time I went business class there was a mentally impaired young adult that throughout the entire flight called out to his mom with a high pitched grating voice “MAAA”, “MAAA”, MAAA, MAAA”. Must have heard it a thousand times in 3 hours. I didn’t complain because maaa paid for his ticket and it was probably the LEAST obtrusive choice overall.
