Muslim cultures 'over care' about family . . .
Actually, Muslims don't really care about family, either. Their whole value system is based on *respect*. We had a professor from one of the Israeli universities (who taught a lot of Muslims) come to our church once. He said that while Christians talk of the Love of God, Muslims talk about the *respect* due Allah. Allah can be arbitrary, capricious, and cruel, and that's okay because he has the power and being any of these is just a sign of that power - and hence proof that he must be respected.
That extends to all Muslims (at least, the men) and that's why "honor" killings abound. There is no love or respect of family members, only the respect with which those they know hold the family (and specifically, the father).
This was discussed further in the excellent book, "Seeking Allah and Finding Jesus" by Nabeel Quareshi. One of his comments was that Muslims consider it disrespectful to do their own research into what the Qu'ran actually says (they do memorize sections of the Qu'ran without even knowing what they are actually reciting) or the Hadiths. To do their own research implies the Imam might be wrong in what he tells them and so is disrespectful of the Imam and the mosque in which he preaches.
One last thing on that: Quareshi said that in the Muslim culture there is no loss of respect from lying or cheating, or stealing from others. There is only loss of respect if you get caught. That applies specifically to the original premise of the article, that of trashing public spaces or violating public norms. If you don't get caught you did a good thing, and once the trash is on the street, it's not your problem any more.

The BIG Bad we face is growing national debt and inability to pay obligations such as social security and medicare without further increasing the debt.
Solution?
1) We must grow the economy so the debt is a smaller percentage of the total.
2) We must not create any new PONZI schemes... and that is exactly what Social Security and Medicare are...PONZI schemes.
3) We must not extend the current PONZI schemes to immigrants...to new constituencies.
4) Do we cut benefits to those already in the PONZI scheme?
5) How much of WASTE, FRAUD, ABUSE and non-WFA programs can we cut to avoid an impossible total debt?

Thanks for your kind comment. The picture was in Life Magazine and it should be in the old family photo box, my sister has custody of it. Uncle used to take me into the White House to wander around, he could go anywhere. We virtually bumped into Daddy Bush and two cabinet members at a hallway intersection one day, they just smiled, nodded and kept walking. Uncle’s last position was Consul General to Genoa, Italy. Consul Generals are all Spooks of course, conduits for “quiet” communications, etc.

Again, interesting - and I agree with much - disagree with a little. Our debt is not a small deal - and lots of our enemies are poised to take advantage if they can jump into a worst case scenario. Speaking of national debt - Warren Buffett's group is dumping a lot of bank stocks...
That said, I feel our best chance is to stick with Trump, go with tariffs but start at a lower rate and bring them up as a 'factor of' something or other... to not spook markets. Thanks for the reply...

I agree with much of what you're saying... and still stand by what I said - - Muslims 'over care' about family. It even shows up in their language - words for family members are much more precise. Like Eskimos' have 30 or more words for 'snow' based on different types of snow (heavy wet to dry to...etc )Because snow has more impact on their culture.
Language can be a tip off.
We're missing each other because our terms aren't defined the same way. Happens. I enjoyed your comments and agree with most. --
