My take having sat through the movie on my couch.

An enjoyable end of the world flick. Just remember what American hating commie racist has his fingers on the “production” (yeah like that punk spent any time producing the movie and not just demanding the writers and director through in his contemptible views of America) and you’ll be OK. Ethan Hawke was very good in the role as a wimpy city boy and Julia Roberts’ characted is so horribly unlikeable you can see why Hawke’s character is such a wimp.

The part that stands out is how easy it would be to completely sit back and watch big blue cities destroy themselves and how enjoyable it is to watch how powerless liberals are to take care of themselves. While the Obamatons are trying to portray the big city in flames as a catastrophe, any country folk will sit back and cheer.
