A stalemate IS a victory for Ukraine. It means the 80%, or whatever, remains free.
As to Russian "mercy", captured Ukraine soldiers have been beaten, tortured, raped, executed, ears chopped off, heads chopped off, etc. There is a video of a surrendered Ukraine soldier castrated alive before execution.
So thinking Ukraines civilians would receive some sort of "mercy" from Putin is naive.

Its not a stalemate. Everyday Russia takes more land, kills more Ukrainians

No amount of propaganda can forever suppress the truth that they are being bled dry — forced to fund endless wars while earning the lowest wages in the industrial world and suffering under crushing interest rates as high as 23%, soaring inflation and food price, etc...
Enough is enough. Russians are tired of being ruled by warmongers, of watching their nation plunge into isolation and decay, all for the vanity and greed of a regime drunk on power. The Russian NeoSoviet system is cracking.
