Democratic fence-sitters had better dump Mamdani before it’s too lat
the hill

Posted on 07/17/2025 7:47:50 AM PDT by DIRTYSECRET

In Stockholm, Sweden, the average wait time to rent an apartment is almost 10 years. New York City could be headed down this road if Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani delivers on his promise to freeze rents on the city’s 1 million rent-stabilized apartments. If he wins in November and implements even half of what he is running on, he will be the anchor that sinks New York City and the national electoral fortunes of Democrats. Anyone with influence and a spine within the Democratic Party should react accordingly.

Ain't gonna happen. I don't think the left can do to him what they did to Bernie. While they dig themselves deeper in their ideological hole we can help ourselves by getting 2 of the opponents to drop out in October. If it won't happen we can hope for BOTH the best and the worst. I don't live there so we can all say I told you so. Battle lines being drawn makes for great entertainment.

I don’t tink that what happens in New York wil have any effect on the electorate outside of New York and probably not in New York either. New Yorkers are enamored of the promised Utopia no matter what. Outside of there, unless the Moslem commie tries to run for presdent later, no one’s vote is affected by what happens in New York.

Bring it, burn it down. The voters deserve nothing less than what they bring on.

Sin eventually devours itself. With abortion, America exported all of its manufacturing. With cell phones, all of its technological edge. The fat kid is getting rolled on the world playground by the meaner and we, he, is too lethargic to defend himself. We need to repent.

Upstate NY, about 90% of the land mass, cares not about NYC or their policies, it's a rotten apple.

The election of Mamdani may have an effect elsewhere in the country if big donors leave the Democrat Party in greater numbers.

I live in upstate NY. Many of us would like to chop NYC off from the rest of the state. Half of NY’s population is in NYC and they are responsible for why NY is a blue state. Without NYC we would be more like Ohio or Pennsylvania and likely elect a moderate Republican.

His Suicide note will read: I just couldn’t take all the verbal assaults and insults anymore.

Problem solved.

I hope he is elected.

Then New York City can be used as an example of what happens when you elect a Commie who promises free services to everyone and vows to “defund the police” - crime and misery everywhere - except for him and his cronies.

Sounds great to the “low information voter” crowd - but in reality, as the tax base flees to Florida and Tennessee, Madman won’t be able to fund his lefty projects.

It’s New York City.
Take a walk through Manhattan and do a survey of people in the street and you will see a vast majority think this communist is ok because he is a democrat.
No further deliberation necessary.

They’re not gonna dump Mamdani and I suspect that most voters will simply not bother to vote, since they probably feel like they have no viable candidate to vote “for” anyway. This will, again and usual, hand the power over to the rabid, radical left... which is exactly what the left always counts on.

“I hope he is elected.”

We must develop a plan to force NYC voters to elect Mamdani (his real name).

“”I hope he is elected.””

I NEVER hope a radical leftist (communist) is elected, anywhere on planet earth. And if it happens now in NYC, keep in mind that if (or when) the Democrats regain the WH.... our tax money (coming from the other states) will be used to bail out NY after the destruction that Mamdani will definitely will inflict occurs. You’re gonna end up paying for it, one way or another, IOW.

An interesting question (I think).
Could this communist lunatics policies in NYC actually “work” temporarily, in that his supporters perceive he is successful and this springboards him to more national aspirations? You can count on our media to cheerlead any perceived successes in NYC by this hoser.

Commies can do a lot of damage in a short period of time...

This guy’s not even a Bernie Sanders. He’s the spoiled brat of rich parents - he wants the country to take care of him and his deadbeat friends now that the parents have told them it’s time to grow up and support themselves.

He’s the worst of ‘em.
