I bought a 4K OLED TV two years ago to replace my 1080P TV.

The difference was striking in clarity and brightness. Growing up in the CRT era of TVs I am really impressed with OLED. I waited for the prices to become reasonable.

At the time the 8K TV’s were just hitting the stores but why buy a TV that has almost no media available the takes advantage of it’s capabilities and will cost you an extra $100 a month in cable TV charges to get access to the little that is available?

The new TV’s are very thin and light in weight. This bothers me a bit as they are very fragile. I do wish they would armor them a bit. I have a teenager and a pre-teen in the house and they have already destroyed a couple of cheaper TV’s.

That brings crappy programs and movies right into your home with breathtaking clarity.

Yeah--I went from a 27" Sony CRT that I purchased in the late '80s to a 4K Vizio 55". I was quite impressed.

I think that old CRT still works. It's upstairs somewhere, I think.
