When you go to a doctor or hospital you sign an agreement to pay for their services.

Period.

If you signed for it you pay for it.

Period.

Wrong. You agree to pay in order to verify treated, in many cases for an unknown illness/injury but in order to be helped or to keep from dying you must agree to pay for completely unknown charges.

I agree. Credit worthiness should be based on one’s ability to repay the debt ... period. Otherwise we might as well put vegetable Biden back in the WH.

“When you go to a doctor or hospital you sign an agreement to pay for their services.”

I will always print that I am not liable for any service not covered by insurance.

However, when one arrives at the emergency room, unconscious, how does one sign for or even acknowledge a payment agreement? Please, do tell!!
