The clock is ticking on our tax dollars going to National Public Radio (NPR) and the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS). They aren’t risking closing, unfortunately, but they are on the verge of facing the exact same pressures as every other television network out there: the ability to pay their own bills by attracting an audience and advertiser or donor dollars. The President’s rescissions package is awaiting passage by Congress to cut a modest $9.4 billion from the federal budget, with most of the funds coming from USAID and the remainder from PBS and NPR. PBS is in a tizzy.
Actually, it is extremely likely you are better off both as a citizen and a human if you don’t listen to the tripe, distorted “news” and other LIB nitwittery that emanates from so-called public media.

Yes indeed!
Slam the doors! Trump is trying to get on my good side.

It would be a delicious dish.
Makes me want to vomit that it is somehow so difficult to reduce the budget by a pittance compared to the total budget and especially compared with the debt.
Many, many moons ago, I first witnessed the insanity* of the PBS & NPR “non-commercial” status. They would BRAG & BRAG about how pure and untarnished they were. What I witnessed was that at the beginning of each show, or each hour, they would thank their generous “sponsors.” Yes, there were the typical foundation sponsors, but eventually they thanked the generosity of Pepsi, GE, etc.
The only company they would not take money from is Halliburton.
**insanity - I was going to put insanity and hypocrisy, but leftist never feeeeeeel hypocritical. They are above the masses they pretend to care about.
I was always taught rather than give questionable news, don’t give any.
People react to silence differently than when they believe they are being informed.
