Go Rand...
the easy solution is simply to bring Fauci back before congress so he can lie again and then be charged since the new lie wouldn’t be covered by the pardon.
HOORAY Rand. Give him the beagle treatment before proper social distancing 6ft under.
He’s right, but Biden has already said he approved all the auto pen pardons. Good luck proving otherwise.
All hat and no cattle.
So, what are you going to do about it Rand? Where is the legislation to invalidate his pardon, where is the referral to criminal prosecution, who have you lobbied / aligned with in the senate to gain support.
I am tired of Rand Pauls bluster, all he has are words. How are people NOT tired of his grift and lack of tangible results, all he does is obstruct real change and then bloviates on emotional issues.
Congress can pass a law that all pardons must be personally signed by POTUS, and autopenned pardons are invalid with retroactive effect. Let SCOTUS decide the matter.
He’s right on with this one.
Hammer, meet nail!!!!
Prosecute SOMEONE!!!!
On this, we can agree!
Has anyone also noticed that Adam Sciff-for-brains has been conspicuously absent from appearances lately, too? (The J6 bunch is also in the Autopen stack with Fauci).
Yeah, yeah, it’ll be kicked down the road until he gets justice in the after life.
While I do favor prosecuting Fauci for crimes against humanity, and testing that fake pardon in court, there may be an easier way to get him. Prosecute one of his immediate underlings, or several of them, and get Fauci to testify in open court or in a deposition. Either the SOB tells the truth and damns everything that he ever did regarding Covid, or he lies and damns himself. You see, even if the pardon is valid, it doesn’t cover anything in the way of crimes after the pardon was issued. So if he lies in any kind of a sworn statement, he is subject to charges of perjury.
Fauci, and the rest of the SOBs who were pardoned by the auto pen, can be gotten to. It is just a matter of having a little bit of political will. That, and building the right case against each of the targeted people. I have high hopes that something will be done, but it is not going to take place as soon as all of us would like it to.
Rand Paul could arrange for Fauci to testify before the US Senate, and aim to do the same thing that a trial would - namely, to either have Fauci spill the beans on all of the lies committed by the government, including himself, during Covid, or to get him to lie at that hearing. Either way, just like a formal trial, Fauci damns himself. Rand really doesn’t have to wait for someone else to do something, he largely has this power within his grasp - so he should act instead of belly-ache..
Rand Paul what a phoney
Fresh off his attempt to take down the MAGA bill debacle, now he’s trying to consolidate his base by attacking a sure thing to please them with something that will be inconsequential.
Going there when it doesn’t matter and will affect nothing.
Go Rand.
Wonder how much money Biden’s staff made off the autopen and how many now live in a manor named HAVEALOT on the arched gate entrance?.
With Rand and Fauci, “it’s not just business, it’s personal.”
I hate to be the skeptic here, but absolutely nothing will happen with this. First of all, Trump‘s DOJ has continually shown us that they have no interest in prosecuting anything. They are content to write tweets and truths to get us all excited for nothing to ever happen.
But from a practical standpoint, nothing will come of this they will simply argue that Biden was made aware of the potential pardons and commutations, that they were discussed, and he sent it to them and they went and issued the pardons via auto pen. There is enough plausible deniability in the New York Times article that this will go nowhere. Of course the DOJ could push the issue and invalidate some of these pardons and go litigate it in court, but we know that that won’t happen.
It’s already be given the ok.
A distraction from his vote to raise taxes.
RP won’t be able to get 60 votes in Senate for anything. He has nothing to do with the judicial process than flap his lips.
