What has happened to Britain is shocking to me. They seem to have zero national pride, apparently no dominating Christian religion, and so many accept being decrepit as some sort of honor. William’s wife’s family was sneered at because they were too new. I guess snobbery to those who are successful is all you can do if you have no ideas and are funding your life of debauchery off $ earned by your ancestors.

I believe Dr. Franklin’s quote should help you understand what happened to England, starting right after WW-1 where they effectively lost an entire generation of men. They began the process described by Ben & accelerated it after WW-2. As unfortunate & hard-hearted it may seem, the best we can do is ensure the US avoids that same fate as England now is starkly realizing.
