his staff waited and then ran the final version through the autopen, which they saw as a routine procedure.

Maybe it was routine.

Then any pardons via autopen not authorized by Biden should be revoked.

and yet, formers President Biden said explicitly in the interview that he himself approved ALL pardons, thus end of story, fini ... period ... no minion’s word will stand up against the word of a President ...

full NYC article:

https://archive.ph/UT5LJ

the actual YUGE issues that matter regarding the survival of our Republic are issues such as border control, ejecting illegal aliens, esp. violent illegal alien criminals, staving off the rise of the Zohran branch of the Democrats to national power, preservation of free speech, reshoring manufacturing, maintaining energy independence, squashing the Democrats insane and pointless waste of billions of dollars on mandating “green energy” and nearly useless EVs, dumping CAFE standards, and dismantling the rest of the biden-era agenda, dismantling the rest of the Deep State by rooting out Deep State spending and Deep State government traitors and sending a few of the big fish to prison ...

autopen and epstein are nothing but tilting at windmills ...

The White House relies on the Office of Pardon Attorney to make recommendations and take applications on pardons. That will likely give cover to the Biden gang.

If The Times is willing to publish this, you know they fear how much more will come out. They want to get out in front on the minimum that they can admit to.

It’s irrelevant that they were signed by autopen.

And what is “final authorization”.? I don’t see that anywhere in the Constitution.

Like it or not, Biden said he approved pardons and commutations. From the NYT article:

“Mr. Biden said that he had orally granted all the pardons and commutations issued at the end of his term”

Done. Over. The pardon power is a plenary power of the President (Executive).

Nothing that he didn’t sign himself should be trusted.

For that matter, since he never knew what he was signing, nothing he signed himself should be trusted either.

https://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/71/333/

...9. The power of pardon conferred by the Constitution upon the President is unlimited except in cases of impeachment.

It extends to every offence known to the law, and may be exercised at any time after its commission, either before legal proceedings are taken or during their pendency, or after conviction and judgment.

The power is not subject to legislative control.

10. A pardon reaches the punishment prescribed for an offence and the guilt of the offender. If granted before conviction, it prevents any of the penalties and disabilities consequent upon conviction from attaching; if granted after conviction, it removes the penalties and disabilities and restores him to all his civil rights. It gives him a new credit and capacity.

There is only this limitation to its operation: it does not restore offices forfeited, or property of interests vested in others in consequence of the conviction and judgment...
