3rd parties fail in the US because we are not structurally set up for them to succeed. We are not a parliamentary system we are an executive winner take all system. If 3rd, 4th, etc parties bring anything to the table worth anything a major part adopts and absorbs the more rational members of the 3rd, etc party.

Everything political in the US is an argument between stronger centralized government at the expense of the states or stronger state at the expense of the central government.

I once was drawn in by Hannity. Then O’rielly. It’s amazing how quick the bloom is off the rose.

I was a big fan of Ann Coulter in the days when she was selling out her appearances at CPAC, but the bloom is off that rose as well. As for Linda Chavez, John LeBoutillier, Mona Charen and Charlie Sykes, former conservative commentators who backed Kamala last year, the roses have gone to seed.

isn’t a third party how the Republicans started? Federalists and Democratic-Republicans, then Democrats and Whigs. It’s only since mid 1850’s that the two main parties were Democrat and Republican.

True. The Republican party was starting at the same time as the Whig party was dissolving. Many early Republicans had been Whigs. If I recall correctly, by the time of Lincoln’s election in 1860, the Whigs were completely gone.
