There is only ONE party in America and Trump is not a member, although I’m starting to have my doubts.

The fact is Trump and the Trump train won a popular vote majority few thought possible for any candidate running on the national Republican ticket.

But that victory did not translate down ballot.

It is INCREDIBLE to look at the almost entirely red map of counties and understand that down ballot the Republican wing of the uniparty could only broker that into a five vote majority in the house.

I have always suspected that signaled trouble in the midterms in which there was not a national race and no Trump at the top of the ticket.

The so-called generic ballot between Republicans and Democrats now greatly favors Republicans.

But in down ballot house races Democrats can run away from their position on transgenders competing against girls and women.

They can run away from sanctuary cities and crime.

What is more the uniparty Republicans candidates do not have the cajones to make the issues Trump won on an issue in local races.

I saw that first hand in 2024 in the three house races that were in my media market.

Not too surprising. We are counting illegals on the census. Gerrymandering in blue states. California takes forever to count their mail-in ballots.
