JD Vance strolls through Disneyland during trip to Southern California
KTLA ^ | Jul 12, 2025 | : Will Conybeare

Posted on 07/12/2025 7:14:02 PM PDT by BenLurkin

The Vice President, his wife Usha and two of their children were seen walking through Bayou Country.

The user who posted the video to X that was obtained by KTLA — @DisneyScoopGuy — said in a separate post that Vance and his family rode Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. A third post from the same user showed Vance and his family going to the high-end 21 Royal restaurant located within the park.

Vance also appeared to take in the sights at Tom Sawyer’s Island, too.

Members of Vance’s advance team were seen throughout the area earlier in the week....

While there were no concrete reports as to why Vance is in SoCal (no public schedule of events was ever released) Sarmiento says he believes the VP and his family are on a leisure trip.

Vicente Sarmiento, a Democrat, expressed frustration at the VP’s trip...“I’m offended by the visit, because so many families are being terrorized...”

It’s 1,000° at DisneyWorld, this time of year.

Can’t beat the CA climate, right?

“Can’t beat the CA climate, right?”

Nor can you beat the constant traffic jam.

been over 40 years since I went to DL there. Just parking was a maze and fun trying to find your car later.

Far too crowded and the rides I remembered as a kid were long gone.

Who can forget the hour+ long wait in line for the Matterhorn?

Vance’s wife is from California. They are probably having family time. Vance was busy last summer.

“While there were no concrete reports as to why Vance is in SoCal “

He needs media permission and advance notice?

Fake news sure never “noticed” Bidet* spending 1/3 of his fraud term vacationing.

It was about 80° in Anaheim today. It'll be in the 70's later this week. Pretty nice for the middle of summer.

Understood.

Still I’d take the actual heat over the unbearable political climate in the latter.

“Nor can you beat the constant traffic jam.”

Some pol from SoCal was being interviewed last week and said that the traffic is remarkably less than it has been over the last several years. All those illegals must be leaving in their sh!tbox cars.

I know! I’ve been in both Anaheim and Orlando, this time of year.

I’ll take Disneyland over DisneyWorld, this time of year ... all day long.

Your temps sound wonderful.

Our temps/weather is closer to Orlando’s 🥵

Loved the Matterhorn. I haven’t been to Anaheim since I was a little kid. I had a neat MM flashlight that was pocket sized as my souvenir. I loved that thing. I found one on eBay many moons ago, but I don’t think it worked anymore. Still, it was cool to see it.

When you went, were there books of tickets with A, B, C, D, and E designations? That’s how they were when I was a kid. My older siblings rode the D and E rides, and my little sister and I got the A and B coupons. We didn’t mind. I remember being very happy to ride with my father on the Matterhorn, though.
