Trump learned from first term mistakes.
But she’s so cuuute...
This thing isn’t going away and is about to become a bigger issue than most here suspect. Polls show 66% of Americans want the Epstein files released. Just firing Bondi isn’t going to be sufficient.
Harmeet’s experience is in civil rights ...we need her where she is.
I can only conclude that whatever is being covered up is more important, in the minds of Trump and his officers, than the right of the people in a Republic to know the full truth. Are there secrets that are too dangerous for the public to know? Yes, but this does not seem like that sort of thing.
Trafficking girls/young women for sex is deplorable, and matters; I’m all for outing the perpetrators and consumers. But it is not a National Security Issue, unless the government is in on it.
IMHO, here is what matters at the National Security level (feel free to add more):
>What was Epstein up to, in terms of espionage and influence operations?
>Was he recruiting/running any of his clients as agents?
>Which US agencies/personnel gave him cover or were in on it?
>What US political figures, government employees, major business leaders, et al., were in Epstein’s network?
>What foreign intel entities was Epstein working with or for?
>Does the US get something from those entities that is so valuable that revealing their role with E is too high a price? Would revelations about Israeli or British spying cause a break with Israel or Britain? (It is assumed that E worked for Mossad, so how would that be news?)
>What US interests were compromised through E’s operations?
>Was Epstein silenced to prevent him from talking about the above?
>What does the National Security Division of the FBI have in its files about Epstein and his operations?
I would like to see Trump cause Bondi & Patel to address all of these. If they can look us in the face and say that they are sure after extensive investigation that no US interests, personnel, agencies, politicians, business leaders, allies, etc. were compromised or involved, so be it.
Great questions—that is exactly what the public would expect to be answered.
Btw do you remember what Bondi said at the last cabinet meeting when asked by a reporter if Epstein was an intelligence agent?
She said she did not know (!) and would get to the reporter.
If she does not know whether Epstein was an intelligence agent she really needs to find another day job.
Right now the Epstein situation (along with JFK, MLK, and RFJ murders...Seith Reich and a host of others) really make people question our government and its ethics. Most of us look at the J 6 trials, Russia-gate, the CCP attempt to put Biden in office, the judicial attacks on Trump as other examples of a corrupt government system.
So this is about clean government and people's faith in government. That is why this is more important that protecting political allies and their intelligence agencies.
The democrats must be up to no good again the media is floating the Epstein files decoy.
Bondi did what she was told to do.
I hope the Bondi, Patel, Bongino, et al watch the video and comprehend how dodgy they all seemed — especially Trump with his fake “I can’t believe you are still talking about Epstein” spiel.
Bondi seemed to be channeling Christopher Wray, but with far too much deer-in-the-headlights. AG’s and FBI Directors should delegate enough admin tasks that they can stay up on major issues and cases. If the answer was NO, she’d have been free to say it, so I interpret her answer as YES. My wild guess is that Trump promised Netanyahu he would keep the lid on Epstein’s doings, and ordered Bondi, Patel, and Bongino to follow suit. They are struggling with being loyal, versus knowing this is the road to ruin.
Disagreements in an administration should take place in private meetings. Once the boss decides what their position will be, then his underlings should stick with him or resign.
Bondi’s inability to read Trump and not comment further about the Epstein documents is my biggest problem with her on this issue. How could she not have realized that Trump wanted her to shut up? Trump respondedg to the question from the press in a completely uncharacteristic way. He wanted that topic ended for the day.
White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Harrison Fields released a statement on the Bondi-Bongino clash.
“President Trump has assembled a highly qualified and experienced law and order team dedicated to protecting Americans, holding criminals accountable, and delivering justice to victims. This work is being carried out seamlessly and with unity. Any attempt to sow division within this team is baseless and distracts from the real progress being made in restoring public safety and pursuing justice for all,” Harrison Fields said.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt provided a statement to NBC News: “President Trump is proud of Attorney General Bondi’s efforts to execute his Make America Safe Again agenda, restore the integrity of the Department of Justice, and bring justice to victims of crime. The continued fixation on sowing division in President Trump’s Cabinet is baseless and unfounded in reality.”
