Still conjecture... No actual proof is presented. Do they have proof an actual SM-2 missile hit the aircraft, have traced of the missile impact on the aircraft wreckage? No. People saw something arcing through the sky...eye witnesses are the worst.
Proof of testing with live warheads happens pretty much daily.
Without re-litigating all of the evidence back then (but I'm afraid we will end up doing so anyway...) there was what was conjectured to be solid rocket motor fuel found on some of the seats recovered from the wreckage site, that was denied by the government as such. Government claimed it was leftover residue from bomb sniffing dog exercises.
When the FAA and the CIA have control of all the evidence, it's hard to disprove their conclusions.
“Proof of testing with live warheads happens pretty much daily.”
Which proves, if shot, the missile could have taken down the plane.
The real question is why nobody in the navy has leaked that they shot a missile that day.
They interrupted my TV show when it happened and ran a feed of the radar track coming up from the ground and hitting TWA800. They only ran the feed once, I watched as did others and hundreds watched it happen live from NJ and NY
This is pretty much wrong. Live warhead testing is infrequent and the deconfliction procedures are onerous. Testing near heavily used flight paths are avoided, and when absolutely necessary flights are shut down.
Maybe not yet, but little by little, more evidence is being uncovered.
Throughout the course of its investigation, the FBI removed all copies of Navy radar tapes and refused to allow the NTSB to conduct eyewitness interviews or review the FBI’s results regarding the cause of the TWA 800 crash. These copies of the Navy radar tapes were finally released and show an object “heading straight for TWA 800.” This information appears to corroborate previously discredited testimony from eyewitnesses, many of whom maintained that they saw something “arcing” toward TWA 800 before the plane exploded, but were not permitted to testify at any NTSB hearings. Some eyewitnesses reported being threatened by the FBI to “keep quiet.”
Correct. There still isn’t a shred of evidence that would hold up in court, that I’ve seen, anyway.
Sorry! I must have missed it.
What are your Bona Fides?
The flight was at 10,000 feet which is the range, I have been told, of that type of missile. Have you any information on that?
Yeah, especially when over 100 witnesses saw the SAME THING. Obviously, they were all delusional, to the same degree and recollection. /s

Six years in the navy and only one proof of testing with a live warhead. And everybody aboard knew about it.
