Sounds like a great idea for something you turn on on your patio at night. Kill a few lightning bugs too, but eh, omelettes. If it is truly pet/human eye-safe.
Something you leave on / in your yard all day? It'll probably kill more beneficial bugs like bees and ladybugs then the amount of mosquito it takes out.
