I make my own weed killer:
1/2 Gal vinegar
1/4 cup salt or epson salt
1/2 tsp dish soap
1 tsp Dr Fred Summit heat rub
spray it on weeds on a hot sunny day.
Similar..1 gal vinegar/1/4cup dish soap/2 cups Epsom salts..
Salting the soil can eventually kill it to the point where NOTHING can grow.
If it’s an area you want barren, that’s not much problem, but otherwise, it will prevent the stuff you want from growing as well.
On all the other days that are not hot and sunny, the weeds eat the nutrients in the soil, robbing your beneficial plants of food.
