He was born in Uganda, became naturalized US later and holds dual citizenship now. How is he not an African American? I don’t understand the reasoning feelings here?

Silly. The left makes up the cultural vocabulary the media tries to ram down our throats. He’s not THATt KIND of African American, so it doesn’t count. There’s some openings here, but nothing will likely result in a different winner in a four man contest. Two of the other guys need to put city before self. I’m really anxious to see some polling, now that the field is set

He graduated high school in 2010 but was not naturalized until 2018, so he was not an African American at the time of his Columbia University application.

I guess he can claim to be African American, just like Elon Musk or Gary Player can, but he sure as hell ain't black.

This is the bull crap that will eventually catch the race hustlers in a trap of their own making. Nationality vs ethnicity. They won't know how to handle it.

I think he claimed to be African on some application.

He eats with his hands like an animal.

24 yrs after 9/11 and NYC is getting ready to elect this ilk.

Elon Musk was born in 1971 in Pretoria, South Africa to a Canadian mother and South African father. In 2002 Musk became an American citizen.

Does that make him an African American?

As I recall, John Kerry’s gin-soaked wife raised the distinction between “African American” and “African-American”. I forget which one she is, but it might make a difference in this case.

As someone who made false claims about her own racial heritage to advance her career, perhaps Elizabeth Warren can clarify this.
