This is a counrty song for people who have gone through a hard time with love, People who have had to hide their pain and have a lot of disruption and confusion in their life.... but who have to keep on going. Life sucks at times, and this song tries to keep that in mind.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Good to see ya, Count.
Not Chuck Berry doing the singing?
Maybellene--Johnny Long & His Orchestra (1955)
Nice seeing you too, dynachrome!
Nope, same title of the Chuck Berry song but completely different... more country.
Maybellene--Ralph Marterie & His Band (1955)
Good one! 🎵
A couple of days ago, I was taking my supplements, and off the cuff started singing, “oh berberine, why can’t you be true, oh berberine...”
I’ve only heard two — Chuck Berry and Johnny Rivers.
Prefer Rivers by far.
Both are good versions and written by Chuck Berry. You see the name Berry on both 45s.
That’s funny.
Thanks stars & stripes forever.
I haven’t heard the Rivers version. I have to check it out.
I thought the clown theme was clever. Catchy tune. I caught myself humming it later.
Thanks again. It was one of those songs that arrived fully formed. I didn’t have to wrestle with lyrics or hardly anything. I get that sometimes, where everything is worked out and pretty well complete, but it is a rare occurrence. In someways, I didn’t write the song… it just showed up on my door set.
I am a songwriter too. I never had the ability to compose until our family went through a difficult period. That’s when I started to read the Bible.
It turned out that I’m a psalmist... a musical Bible of sorts. Holy Spirit downloads
the melody first. Then as I’m reading the Bible, the lyrics fit into the correct song.
Exactly, trials can do that. And it is good to get your feelings out in a song. It’s a relief and gives clarity. It’s also a mysterious process. I’ll look forward to seeing your songs on Freeper, if you have recorded them.
They’re almost ready to go.... just have to sing the melodies.
Cool!
