China signed the trade deal so now Russia has permission to stop the war. I firmly believe that part of the reason Zelensky and Putin continued the war was to inflict political damage on Trump. When there was no political damage to speak of they have now both decided to come to the table. The war will be over in a few months.

I wouldn’t doubt it. They keep *saying* they want peace, but neither of them really does. Greed also drives a lot of that. Putin wants to grab as much land as he can and Zelensky wants countries (mostly ours) to keep feeding him “mah-ney.”
