Right. There could be internal, factional, and even individual power struggles. A lot of chaos, and power plays... one could imagine.
So if they launch missiles, that kills the cease fire right there.
Is Israel supposed to do nothing?
If you don’t respond tit-for-tat, then you need to express a diplomatic reason for it. IE: “We are going to let you have that one. Now honor the cease fire”. Otherwise, you are inviting more attacks.
The question is, who is doing the communicating (the outward facing strategic decision making) for Iran?
I disagree, Israel has complete command and control of its own Military, and is aware that the Iranians no longer have the same command and control of their units. Tit of Tat is a child’s game. Israel should hold their side of the cease fire.
