Thx. Actually, I was asking if crypto like bitcoin were to be counterfeited by AI. Could AI figure out how to corrupt the block chain or is it infailable?

A bunch of smart strangers online told me Block Chain is infallible. No worries.

Bitcoin exists as a series of entries on a ledger shared across thousands of computers (whomever wants to participate in the network). To make a valid transaction you must prove you hold the private keys for an existing balance on the ledger by cryptographically signing the transaction. There is no way to do this (even with advanced quantum computing if you practice good public key hygiene) unless you really hold the private key. The price of bitcoin is a reflection of that very high level of confidence.

In short, bitcoin cannot be counterfeited. The best scammers can do is try to trick people into downloading some false piece of software that tells the victim what the scammer wants them to see, completely and utterly independent of what is in the real bitcoin ledger. But even a newbie bitcoiner should know enough to be able to look up transactions and balances on the ledger (which is transparent to everyone), which would foil such a scam. Sometimes scammers find people who really are clueless though.
