Lukoschenko is just as bad as Putin, of course - just less powerful. And Belarus might be just as intransigent to betterment as Russia.

Still, I have this wonderful image in my mind of - some years down the line, after Lukoschenko is long gone - Belarus asking to join NATO. I'd almost hope that Putin would still be around to witness that!
