I was checking that pesky constitution thingie and there it was!!!! The power to regulate immigration was specifically granted to the fed.

I looked. I couldn't find it. Please tell me the Article and Section. Thanks.

Article 1 section 8 clause 18 Long-standing Supreme Court precedent recognizes Congress as having plenary power over immigration, giving it almost complete authority to decide whether foreign nationals (aliens, under governing statutes and case law) may enter or remain in the United States.
