Yes. There’s almost point in running for a public office with wages of “just” a couple hundred thousand dollars a year when it costs multi- millions just yo campaign for it.
The point is, getting into the “public” office enables making multi millions more in “contributions” and unreported bribes —- millions and millions and millions more $$$$$$$$
