You are absolutely right. Not a single one of those nations represented a threat that could kill several million Americans all at once, like Iran would be able to do if they were allowed to continue their nuke program.
I am glad you understand how different and how much more serious is this current threat than any threat we've ever faced before in our lives, with the exception of the Cuban Missile Crises.
Glad you recognize the need to blow the sh*t out of Iran's nuclear program. A lot of people are so stupid they think we should do nothing.
I've been bitching about these stupid people that think like this for the last 30 years.

We may not have a choice. One lucky hit that sinks a US Navy ship, sending the full crew to the bottom would do it. When they close the straight we will need to send in Marines to open them and occupy the silkworm sites to keep them open—then its Marines vs Republican Guard. Wars have a bad habit of going in unexpected directions. Yemen will also be in the fight. Think Terror cells ion USA will be silent? I think not—terrorism and sabotage could hit the USA. With Iran's obnoxious and dangerous leadership collapsing, the Houthis and all the other little proxies of Iran will no longer be supplied and will no longer be able to project much in the way of a threat.

Drop the bomb, walk away, and watch the next Jihadi regime rise out of the rubble to strike again in 50 years. The goal isn't to nation-build or take care of the next government. It is to destroy the underground facility with all the extreme high-tech equipment and raw materials necessary to build a nuclear bomb. Make them have to find a new location, excavate it, and start the whole thing all over again from scratch.
To be honest, if that buys us at least 50 more years without them having a nuke, I'd count that as a win.

Oddly enough, a few years later I’d have the opportunity to meet and get to know a well-known Democrat, Barbara Jordan. She was maybe one of the smartest people I’ve ever met. I don’t think she would be a Democrat today, she really didn’t like illegals coming into the country. A very smart woman, and you're right -- she's nothing like the woke lefties of today.
