Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., filed a House resolution Tuesday looking to block U.S. involvement in the Middle East conflict between Iran and Israel.
Massie's resolution features numerous Democrat co-sponsors, including progressive legislators like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, D-N.Y.; Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich.; and Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn.
If passed, the resolution would block President Donald Trump from engaging in "unauthorized hostilities" with Iran.

I like Robert Barnes’s idea of getting Massie out of Trump’s congressional voting hair by naming him to replace Brooke Rollins, the unprincipled and dim Big Ag shill at the ag dept.
Massie would do a lot for small farmers—and improving the safety of our food supply.
It’s not the “entering the war” that’s the issue, but rather remaining long after to keep the internal peace and build the nation.
If Trump attacks with the B2 bombers, uses bunkerbusters to destroy the nuclear sites, which in the process just might release radiation that will contaminate a large swarth of this Muslim country, and during these bombings the ayatollah, who in the eyes of many Muslims remains a religous leader and a symbol of their religion dies, Muslims around the world will be incensed, his political base will shatter, the Democrats and the globalists will rejoice and take power. The bidenesque ruination of America will resume and accelerate. Also 3x as many Muslims live in America than were here on 9/11/2001. Most are unassilimated and many will be enraged by these events. Things will become very interesting.
Fervently hope that Trump chooses not to involve the US any more than it already is.

What could go wrong
Everyone has been kicking cans down the road with the cans being kicked ranging from immigration and debt to Iranian nuclear weapons.
I am sick to death of politicians (currently all Dems and people like Rand Paul and Massie) kicking these cans down the road and only giving a crap about the fundraising for the next election cycle.
Trump is at least doing something about it. His actions might not be the best on these issues, but he is trying hard, and I respect that.

Depends on the extent of our involvement. Sending in a B2 to MOP up the enrichment site buried at Fordow and maybe a few other ancillary ops, no problem at all.
Pulling a Bush and putting nation-building boots on the ground, big problem. But there’s no chance Trump would do that, so relax.

The War Power of the United States is vested in Congress because war requires the States (Senate) and the People (House) to have any chance of success.
You would think 80 years of failure in multiple undeclared wars would be enough - but it looks like we are going to have to receive the same lesson we should have learned after Korea again.
I am not saying they are idiots. I am saying they grew up in a paradigm that programmed their minds to support almost any military action. I probably would have been impacted the same way if I were from that age.
