Caitlin Clark was in the middle of a fiery scene between the Fever and Sun on Tuesday night.
Clark, while dribbling with the ball in the offensive end of the court during the third quarter of Indiana’s 88-71 win at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, was fouled near the right eye by Jacy Sheldon.
The Indiana star took exception and bumped and shoved Sheldon.
That’s when the Sun came to the defense of Sheldon, with Tina Charles coming close to Clark and wagging her index finger, while Marina Mabrey was more physical, pushing Clark to the ground.
After all was said and done, Clark, Mabrey and Charles were all assessed technical fouls and Sheldon was handed a flagrant 1.
Clark hit both flagrant free throws as she finished the game with 20 points and six assists.

Big deal. Basketball...even women’s basketball...is a contact sport.
I enjoy the W, and Clark and Aja Wilson and Paige Bueckers are my favorite players to watch, but the media is making every foul into World War 3. The hysteria is from people who discovered the W 5 minutes ago and are suddenly experts.
The gym had women’s basketball on and I saw this game for the first time.
Sorry but basketball just isn’t a fun women’s sport. A boy’s varsity game is more exciting than a WNBA game.
Volleyball, tennis, gymnastics and figure skating are great women’s sports.
It’s not that men are better it’s just that they’re different.

No, they wont. Women do not care about the wnba or Caitlin Clark. Men do not care about the wnba. No one really cares. Its boring. Mens high school basketball games are more energetic and full of fzr more talent and excitement.

Most lack the skill to take out their frustrations ny playing better/harder and just pointing to the scoreboard, and even the fights are, well...girl fights. Just a bunch of shoving and hair pulling.

Yes, that’s the turnoff of turnoffs in the “women’s game”. Targeted, thuggish intimidation that has nothing to do with athleticism. Clark is by no means flopping like Lebron. She’s moreso getting racist treatment like Jackie Robinson. To say nothing of what she’s receiving due to her being an “out” heterosexual.
After the gouging, when Clark was trying to escape the immediate scene of the crime, the player that finished her off, by blindsiding and thereby decking her, was not a “blanking white girl” (h/t what’s his name, part-time Russian prisoner-Griner).
You don’t think there’s pressure on white teammates to start pulling their weight in this campaign to humiliate and discourage white, non-lesbian Clark?
