2.) Most Muslim countries aren’t democracies either. They are also ethno-states.
3.) Yes, I specifically said “Until recently”. The fact that they just quit putting it on the IDs but they still track it, proves my point.
4.) There are checkpoints throughout the country that restrict the movement of muslims. There are large portions of the country (Gaza/West Bank) that are under the control of the government where the people’s rights are restricted. It would be like if we kept Indians locked on reservations, wouldn’t allow them to leave, micromanaged what came and went, how much food they got, how much medicine they got, how much fuel/power they got, etc... I am not arguing that it isn’t in Israel’s best interest to do so. I am only arguing that they are not a democracy.

This is a lie. There are no checkpoints inside Israel. There are checkpoints at the border, and inside the occupied West Bank.
